Why cakes?
in the past, when people asked me why i started whisk n' batter, i would tell them that baking cakes has always been something i've enjoyed and that with college graduation quickly approaching, i really wanted to add to my savings.

but, i've come to find out, this little business is a whole lot more than that.
​
in the past few months of my new endeavor, i have helped people celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, life, death, accomplishments, goodbyes, welcome homes, milestones, and most importantly --relationship.
​
whisk n' batter has challenged me to know a bigger, better, & more intentional God who is constantly at work in transforming people's lives. and the best part? all that celebration is done over a piece of my cake.
​
so, now when people ask why i make cakes, i tell them it is because of the most wonderful, inspiring, beautiful people i encounter everyday. it is because bringing people together so they may count it all as joy with my cake makes my heart explode. it is because i know the Lord is using this little cake company for His GLORIFICATION!
there are no words to describe how humbled and gracious i am that whisk n' batter has become all and more i hoped and prayed it would be. i have no idea where Jesus will lead me next or who he will put in my path, but i know that he will find new ways for me to serve with my flour covered hands.
